Our Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. Your privacy and security are our priorities.

Last Updated on Aug 15, 2026

1. Introduction

Chatter is a customer communication and CRM platform operated by Thrive LLC (“Thrive LLC”, “Chatter”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), a limited liability company registered in the Sharjah Media City (Shams) free zone, United Arab Emirates, under trade licence 1700077.01.

Chatter is a brand name used by Thrive LLC. It is not a separate legal entity, does not hold its own trade licence, and does not identify a separate contracting party.

  • Registered address — Sharjah Media City (Shams), Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
  • Office address — Level 14, Boulevard Plaza Tower 1, Downtown Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you access or use our website, applications, and services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using Chatter, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the practices described in it.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways.

2.1 Information You Provide

When you create an account or interact with our platform, we may collect information such as:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Company name
  • Account login credentials
  • Billing and payment information

This information is required to create and manage your account and to deliver our services.

2.2 Usage Information

When you use Chatter, certain information is automatically collected to help improve the platform and maintain security. This may include:

  • IP address
  • Device type and operating system
  • Browser type
  • Platform activity and interactions
  • Log data and performance metrics

This information helps us monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve platform functionality.

2.3 Customer Communication Data

Chatter enables businesses to communicate with their clients and customers. Information stored within the platform may include:

  • Customer names
  • Contact information
  • Messages and conversation history
  • Interaction timestamps
  • Notes, tags, and internal annotations created by the business

This data belongs to the business using Chatter and is processed only to provide the platform services.

3. What We Access From Connected Accounts

When a business connects a messaging account to Chatter, we access only what is needed to operate their shared inbox. Depending on the channel, this may include:

  • Message content — text, attachments, and voice notes exchanged with the business.
  • Sender identifiers — platform user ID, display name, profile picture, and phone number or handle.
  • Comment content — public comments on the business’s own posts, where the channel supports handling comments in the inbox.
  • Post metadata — identifiers, timestamps, and captions of the business’s own posts.
  • Account profile data — the connected business account’s own name, ID, avatar, and settings.

All access to connected accounts is performed through the official APIs published by each platform. We do not use unofficial, reverse-engineered, or scraped access methods.

Channels currently supported are WhatsApp Business (official Cloud API), Instagram Direct, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, and live web chat. TikTok is coming soon and is not yet available.

4. Why We Access It

We access connected-account data for one purpose: to operate the shared inbox for the business that authorized the connection — delivering and displaying messages, threading them by contact, routing them to the right agent, and providing the automation and analytics that the business has enabled.

Connected-account data is never used for our own purposes, and never for any other customer.

5. How We Use Information

We use the collected information to operate, maintain, and improve our services. Primary uses include:

  • Service Delivery — to provide, operate, and maintain the Chatter platform.
  • Account Management — to manage user accounts, billing, and subscription plans.
  • Customer Support — to respond to inquiries, support requests, and feedback.
  • Platform Improvement — to monitor aggregate usage patterns, performance, and reliability. This excludes customer message content, which is never analyzed to develop or improve our products.
  • Security — to protect the integrity, safety, and reliability of the platform.
  • Legal Compliance — to comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.

6. AI Features and Model Training

We do not use customer message content to train AI models. Message content, comments, and contact data belonging to our customers and their end users are never used to train, fine-tune, or improve our own models or any third-party model.

Our AI features process message content only to produce a response for that specific conversation, in real time, for the business that owns it.

7. What We Never Do

  • We do not sell or rent personal information.
  • We do not share personal data with third parties for advertising, ad targeting, or data brokerage.
  • We do not use customer message content to train, fine-tune, or improve AI models.
  • We do not access connected accounts through unofficial or reverse-engineered methods.
  • We do not use one customer’s data to serve another customer.

8. Information Sharing and Disclosure

Chatter does not sell or rent personal information. However, we may share information under the following circumstances.

  • Service Providers — we may share information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the platform, including hosting, infrastructure, analytics, and payment processing.
  • Legal Requirements — we may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests from authorities.
  • Business Transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of the business transaction. Any successor entity will be bound by the commitments in this Privacy Policy, including those in section 7.

9. Data Security

We implement strong security practices designed to protect user data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Security measures include:

  • Customer data encrypted both in transit and at rest
  • Secure infrastructure and hosting
  • Access controls and authentication systems
  • Access restricted to authorized users within each organization
  • Continuous monitoring and system protection

Chatter personnel do not access customer data unless necessary for technical support or troubleshooting. In the event of a security incident or data breach, affected users will be notified promptly in accordance with applicable regulations.

While we strive to protect all information, no system can guarantee absolute security.

10. Data Isolation Between Customers

All connected-account data is stored against the customer organization that owns it and is isolated at the data layer. No customer can access another customer’s conversations, contacts, or connected accounts.

11. Data Retention

We keep conversations and contacts while an account is active. We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill legal or contractual obligations. Retention periods may vary depending on:

  • Service requirements
  • Legal obligations
  • Dispute resolution needs
  • Security and compliance requirements

When a business disconnects a channel, we stop accessing that platform immediately and delete the stored access tokens for that channel. When an account is closed, we delete or irreversibly anonymize its data, except where we must keep records to meet a legal obligation.

12. Disconnecting a Channel

A business can disconnect any channel at any time — from Chatter’s settings, or independently from the connected platform’s own settings. Revoking access on the platform immediately ends our ability to access that account, and we cannot re-establish access without a fresh authorization from the business.

13. Your Rights

Depending on your location and applicable laws, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data. These rights may include:

  • Access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction or updating of inaccurate information
  • Requesting deletion of personal data
  • Restricting or objecting to certain processing activities

Requests related to your data can be submitted by contacting us directly.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or improvements to our practices. When updates occur, the revised version will be published on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. We encourage users to review this page periodically.
